Dr. Jonathan Borg
Dr. Jonathan Borg grew up in the small town of Paradise, California, where his early exposure to healthcare sparked a lifelong interest in helping others. With a mother who practiced dentistry and a father who worked as an anesthesiologist, he developed an appreciation for both the technical precision and compassionate care that define the healthcare profession. These experiences ultimately inspired him to pursue a career in oral and maxillofacial surgery—a specialty that allows him to combine surgery, medicine, and dentistry to improve patients’ health, comfort, and confidence.
Dr. Borg earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. During his undergraduate education, he was consistently recognized for his academic excellence, earning Dean’s List honors and receiving the Greek Scholar of the Year Award for achieving the highest academic performance among members of the university’s Greek community.
He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he continued to distinguish himself both academically and as a leader. While at UCLA, Dr. Borg received the David and Miki Lee Scholarship for academic achievement, earned placement on the Dean’s Letter of Recognition, and was honored with the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant Award. In addition to his academic accomplishments, he founded and led several community service organizations dedicated to improving access to dental care and serving underserved populations.
Dr. Borg completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, one of the nation’s premier academic medical centers. His comprehensive training encompassed the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dental implant treatment, wisdom tooth removal, bone grafting, facial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, pathology, TMJ disorders, and office-based anesthesia.
Known for his calm demeanor and thoughtful approach, Dr. Borg believes every patient deserves to feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their surgical experience. He takes the time to listen carefully, answer questions thoroughly, and develop individualized treatment plans that prioritize both exceptional clinical outcomes and a positive patient experience.
Dr. Borg is board eligible with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association. He is excited to join the team at Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas and looks forward to serving patients throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth community.
Outside the office, Dr. Borg enjoys traveling, staying active through fitness and sports, experimenting in the kitchen, and spending time with his wife, Haley, and their miniature dachshund Bentley.
